Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been an actress, director as well as a producer, playwright, and educator at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father is British, and her mother is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother working in rehearsals for plays. As a young girl, she appeared in a variety of commercials. Then, in November 1999 Anna made the move to Toronto for the purpose of advancing her acting career, eventually moving in Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her husband in the year 2009.
