Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. Born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin was able to make her acting debut portraying Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress aged 11 years old, which makes her the second youngest winner to win an award within Oscar history. In 1993, she received an Academy Award at age 11 as the curious and talking child of Holly Hunter who played the principal role. Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the queen of Spain in a less prominent part. The role she played was for teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). Also, she was the character of the teenage groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
