Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist as well as a businessperson. She is co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist television host, and proprietor of the liberally independent online newspaper The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece but moved to England at the age of sixteen. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA at the level of economics. In the beginning, as the only non-English student to graduate, she was voted the president of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Following after her college graduation, she became an influential conservative journalist who was syndicated. A few more years later, she started The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present politics. The fame of Arianna has led to the attraction of many well-known contributors who shared their opinions about news, politics and the arts. Arianna became famous in 2003 when she ran as an independent candidate in a recall vote in California to replace the then-Governor Davis. Aside from that she also led the Detroit Project to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. In 2009 she was named by Forbes as The most influential women in the media, achieving 12th position on their ranking. In the same year Guardian listed her on the top 100 list of media. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her head of its media division, which also included other AOL properties such as Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the daughter of Konstantinos, a journalist and a management consultant. Although she was close with her father, it was the bond she had with her mother which shaped her future. In her earliest years she displayed ability to lead that is now well-known. At the age of 16, she began studying with England in the United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she belonged to the Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first female and only president from outside the country. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned a Master's Degree in Economics. After her graduation, she worked as a television presenter and columnist. Additionally, she was a guest with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
